I used acrylic patches with a mixture of different shades of white, yellow , orange and red to layer all over the face area. This painting is actually showing the idea of  people  who are try to put their positive emotion ( happiness ) on their faces, represented by the bright colours, but those emotions will intentionally fade away, like the fading black and white colour stripes . Human are usually surrounded by negativeness in their life, their emotions are not as colourful is it seem, instead it's just patches of monochromatic colours and dark tones surrounding us . The wavy white texture is made of  aluminium foil  which  shows sparks of happiness in our lives and transparent plastic bags ,showing that our emotions were been seen through by others . You could see volume in the drawing . It shows the idea of transition in a natural way. I have applied layering techniques  on the face area with my finger on my final work , which I haven't really tried before and it turned out pretty great. I also used a sponge to create the wavy white transition area.
